It's My Birthday!!!

It's my 40th birthday today! I can't believe it. Time passes much quicker as you get older. I'll never be able to stitch all I want in this lifetime. I have about 6 kids running through my house and all I want is a little peace and quiet and of course to stitch! I went to my LNS day before yesterday and bought some fabric for my petal fairy and a couple of other patterns I plan to start eventually. It just makes me feel so happy just to have it available whenever I want it. Later on today I am going out with my kids and friends to a buffet to eat. Then I intend to stop and get a little Jose Cuervo to take home with me. Hopefully I will get some stitching time this evening. My DH gave me money for my birthday and now I can get my digital camera. Can't wait to order that! Anyway, hope everyone has a good weekend and happy stitching.

It's the weekend!

It's the weekend and I have four days off and I hope to get a lot of stitching done. Today I worked on alphabet soup by Brightneedle today, but I did not accomplish very much. I will work on it and my Raise the Roof designs this weekend. Today, I ordered petal fairy by Miribilia and I am gathering supplies for Spanish geometrical sampler. I love starting new projects. I have seriously considered rotation stitching, but with the way I work I don't think that I would be able to follow it very well. I like the joy of stitching spontaneously on whatever says "work on me, you know you want too" LOL Today, I had to take my big boy cat Silver to the vet. His left eye was swollen and draining and just yucky! The vet said he had an upper resp. infection and he received an injection of antibiotics and some eye ointment. I am going to go stitch and maybe peruse the online needlework show one more time. Have a good weekend.

Joining the blogging world!

Well, I have finally taken the plunge and started a blog. Hopefully will serve as a diary of my cross stitching progress, works and wants. In the near future, I will add pictures of my WIP's. I am currently working on a couple of Raise the Roof designs, I like them for their wackiness. I am working on my cone runneth over and what side. I also have in progress some works by, brightneedle, monsterbubbles and sisters and best friends. In the beginning, I cross stitched a lot of ethnic designs by green apple company, but I find that samplers are really appealing to me now and boy are there lots of those. I am particularly partial to Quaker type designs and I just got in the new loose feathers pattern Quaker Garden. I can't wait to start that. Anyway, I hope that if you stop by you will leave me a hello or email me, I would love to hear from you!
